In collaboration with Dr. Shaqil Peermohamed (ASP Physician Lead) and Justin Kosar (ASP Pharmacist Lead), Spectrum was launched in the Saskatoon area of the Saskatchewan Health Authority on April 12, 2018 and its usage was studied over the subsequent 11 months.

Nine months following the launch of Spectrum, there were 733 active users, composed of a wide range of healthcare professions.

Ten months following the launch of Spectrum, a user satisfaction survey was delivered through the app and via email communication to Saskatchewan Health Authority employees. Data from 182 respondents indicates that users are highly satisfied and consider Spectrum to be a useful resource.

Antimicrobial usage (DDD/1000 patient days) on medical wards at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon was compared pre and post implementation of Spectrum. Results demonstrated a significant reduction in antimicrobial usage.
